Cahid Camal was an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union, the Mongolian Artists’ Union, and the International Fine Arts Fund. His works are housed in the Azerbaijan National Art Museum (Baku), the G. Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts, the Mongolian National Museum of History (Ulaanbaatar), the State Russian Museum (Saint Petersburg), the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow), as well as in galleries and private collections. During his lifetime, his exhibitions were organized in Baku, Moscow, Dubna, Minsk, Almaty, Chișinău, Ulaanbaatar, and Ganja.
As indicated by his titles, the artist’s creative legacy is equally connected with three countries of rich cultural heritage—Azerbaijan, Russia, and Mongolia. His name is inscribed in the history of fine arts of these countries in the second half of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century.
To date, Cahid Camal has published the works “The Anatomy of Color” and “Color in Clothing,” both devoted to the study of the nature of color.
